AMARAVATI: Just a day after meeting Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, ace director Ram Gopal Varma announced the making of two new films Vyuham and Shapatham, the latter being a sequel to Vyuham, which are expected to be hard-hitting political potboilers with strong storylines.

RGV met Jagan at Tadepalli on Wednesday and announced the two movies on his Twitter handle on Thursday.

Vyuham will be all about a conflict between pride and ambition, giving birth to political conspiracies and the atrocities in politics will be portrayed, he said.

"Before the people of the state come out of the shock from Vyuham, they will have to face electric shock with part 2, Shapatham," tweeted Varma. He also announced that Dasari Kiran Kumar, who also collaborated with him for 'Vangaveeti', would be producing Vyuham.

Ram Gopal Varma was speculated to have targeted the opponents of the YSR Congress Party even before the 2019 general elections, with his much-talked-about film 'Lakshmi's NTR', based on betrayals that Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao had faced in his political career.
