AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday reserved its judgment on the bail petition of former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the skill development scam case. However, the Court did not declare a specific date for delivering its judgment.

Earlier, Additional Advocate General (AAG) Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy argued against granting bail to Naidu, citing the recent medical reports submitted by his lawyers stating that he had a heart problem. The AAG argued that Naidu would influence witnesses and tamper with evidence if he was released on bail.

On the other hand, Naidu’s counsel, senior Supreme Court advocate Sidhartha Luthra said that Naidu, due to ill health, must be in regular touch with his doctors and he would not be in a position to influence the witnesses because the case was politically motivated and wilfully foisted on his client by the Andhra Pradesh Government.
