NEW DELHI: Counsels for former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu filed a quash petition in the Supreme Court on Saturday, urging the apex court to scrap the Andhra Pradesh High Court’s order. Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday dismissed his quash petition in the alleged skill development scam.

Countering the judgment of a single-judge bench headed by Justice Srinivasa Reddy at the ACB special court in Vijayawada, Naidu’s lawyers in their quash petition contended that the arrest under Section 17A was invalid.

Lunch motion rejected

Meanwhile, in yet another setback to Naidu, the Andhra Pradesh High Court in Amaravati, rejected a lunch motion plea filed on Saturday urging the dismissal of the custody orders given by the ACB Court.
