NANDYAL: The famous Srisailam temple was rocked by a new laddu scandal following shocking revelations made by none other than temple trust chairman Chakrapani Reddy. Reportedly, an investigation was carried out in which it was revealed that more money was being charged as the contractor allegedly plundered lakhs of rupees. The issue would be escalated to the Commissioner of Taxes, said the temple Chairman.

Chakrapani Reddy said that, as a consequence of the scandal, the Board decided to cancel the contract of laddus. However, temple EO S Lavanna said that, as there were no orders issued by the Commissioner, the contract was not yet cancelled. He also said that such issues were happening due to the negligence of the temple officials.

The Chairman also claimed that the expenditure for the making of laddus in the months of February and March this year might skyrocket to Rs one crore due to inflated charges.
