Stage set for Navaratri Brahmotsavams in Tirumala from October 15: TTD EO

TIRUMALA: Elaborate arrangements are underway for the smooth conduct of Navratri Brahmotsavams of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy, which is schedule to commence from October 15 to 23, 2023 with Ankurarpanam on October 14, said Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) executive officer AV Dharma Reddy.
Speaking to media persons at Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday, Dharma Reddy said that all the privileged darshans like senior citizens, physically challenged, parents with infants would remain canceled during the Navaratri Brahmotsavams.
The TTD EO said that in view of Garuda Vahana Seva on October 19, two-wheelers would not be allowed to ply on the Ghat roads on that day. The TTD would perform various sevas like Pushpaka Vimanam on October 20, Golden Chariot on October 22 and Chakrasnanam on October 23 to the presiding deity during the festivities, he added.
“As huge devotees are expected to throng Tirumala on October 18 night itself in the galleries of four mada streets to witness Garuda Vahana Seva, we are contemplating to advance the timing of Vahana Seva on October 19 after negotiating with the chief priests of Tirumala temple for the convenience of pilgrims”, Dharma Reddy said.
Later, district collector Venkatramana Reddy and SP Parameshwar Reddy also informed media that their departments are ready to provide the required workforce and support the TTD for the smooth conduct of the ensuing Navaratri Brahmotsavams. Earlier, a detailed review meeting was held over the department-wise arrangements.
