AMARAVATI: The Guntur police have arrested former TDP minister and senior leader Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy for his remarks on Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Minister RK Roja and registered two cases. The police who first tried to issue notices to Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy. However, the latter had not opened the door since morning and was on a hunger strike in protest against the arrest of Chandrababu.

As the TDP leaders called for an ambulance to conduct medical tests, the police who stopped the ambulance dispersed the TDP activists and broke into the TDP leader's house, and served notices. The police disclosed that they served notices under sections 41A and 41B. The police are shifting Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy to Guntur from Anakapalli and in the meanwhile, the latter moved to Andhra Pradesh High Court for bail and opined that he come out clean.

Earlier, Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy's wife Madhavilatha filed a complaint with the police stating that her husband was house-arrested and not allowed to go out despite being sick. In the complaint lodged with DSP, she said that police were deployed in huge numbers at her house and asserted that neither servants nor vendors were allowed into the house.

Speaking to media, Bandaru's wife said that they had no hope in law and order and said that they would move the court for justice.
