TDP leaders express concern over Naidu's health, decide to meet YS Jagan at his residence
The TDP leaders demanded that the Government allow expert doctors to attend Chandrababu and the latter should be admitted to AIIMS for better treatement
AMARAVATI: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders have expressed concern over the health condition of their party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu, who is currently in Rajamahendravaram Central Jail after the news surfaced that the latter was suffering from skin allergy and dehydration.
A meeting was held at the NTR Bhavan in Mangalagiri on Friday, where the crucial leaders from the party discussed the issue and decided to meet Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his residence in Tadepalli and submit a memorandum to seek his intervention and safeguard Naidu’s health in jail.
The TDP leaders demanded that the Government allow expert doctors to attend Chandrababu and the latter should be admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Mangalagiri for better treatment. “Despite being 73 year-old, Chandrababu is taking good care of his health due to discipline. The latter has lost 5 kg of weight in jail, which is a matter of concern as it can affect his body,” said TDP AP unit president K Atcchannaidu.
TDP politburo members included Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, Buddha Venkanna, Varla Ramaiah, Nakka Anand Babu, Kala Venkata Rao, former minister Devineni Uma, and MLC Panchumarthi Anuradha were present during the meeting.
A minor tension prevailed at Tadepalli, after the police prevented the TDP leaders Buddha Venkkana and Pilli Manikayaka Rao who tried to meet YS Jagan at his residence and submit a memorandum to him to provide better facilities and send an expert doctor's team to treat Naidu's deteriorating health. There was a slight altercation between police and the TDP leaders for a while. With the situation going out of control, the police took Buddha Venkanna and Manikyala Rao into custody to restore normalacy in the place.
Meanwhile, DIG Coastal Andhra Prisons Department Ravikiran refuted the remarks made by the family members of Chandrababu Naidu over his health condition in jail. He said that Naidu’s health condition was stable as his blood pressure levels, temperature and pulse remained normal without any psychological issues. Ravikiran also said that Naidu did not lost 5 kg weight and he gained one kg weight in jail. Naidu’s weight was 66 kgs a month ago, when he was shifted to jail.
