HYDERABAD: Hundreds of techies took out a car rally from different parts of Hyderabad city on Sunday morning to express their solidarity with former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu who was jailed at Rajemahendravaram Central Prison in the skill development scam case.
Cars started from SR Nagar, LB Nagar and Gachibowli areas during the wee hours to reach Rajamahendravaram. They would then meet Nara Bhuvaneswari who was residing at the camp office of TDP general Secretary Nara Lokesh close to the Jail.
However, AP Police have made amply clear that no permission was given and the rally will not be allowed to enter the borders. They deployed anti-riot police in full gear to stop the cars at Jaggaiahpet.
With reports of police stopping the techies at different checkposts on the Telangana AP borders, Nara Brahmani took to X and said that the act of the AP State Government was nothing but encroachment of fundamental rights.
"Shocked at AP police resisting hardworking IT professionals’ peaceful car rally from Hyd to Rajahmundry to express their support for
Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Heartfelt gratitude. Encroachment of fundamental rights, human rights at its peaks in AP, " she wrote.
