Temporary relief to Lokesh as AP High Court bars his arrest till October 4 only in skill scam case

The relief of not to arrest Lokesh up to October 4, however does not apply to the IRR case as the High Court rejected the anticipatory bail petition.

VIJAYAWADA: In some temporary relief for Nara Lokesh, the Andhra Pradesh High Court has ordered the APCID to not arrest the TDP national general secretary in the skill development case till October 4, 2023.

Apart from this, the court which heard the plea of Lokesh seeking anticipatory bail in the skill development and fibernet scams has adjourned the hearing to next Wednesday.An interim order was passed to this effect on Friday. The relief has been extended only in the skill development scam case.

Earlier in the day, the court had dismissed the anticipatory bail petition of Lokesh in the Amaravathi Inner Ring Road (IRR) case and allowed the CID to issue a notice under Section 41-A of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) to him. The relief of not to arrest Lokesh up to October 4, however does not apply to the IRR case as the High Court rejected the anticipatory bail petition.
