TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy on Friday laid the foundation stone for the renovation of Sri Venkateswara Museum in Tirumala at an estimated cost of Rs 145 crore.

The newly renovated museum would be made available to the public by December, 2023. Karunakara Reddy said that TCS and Map Institute would renovate the museum with advanced facilities to inculcate spirituality and raise awareness among devotees.

“Despite the museum being equipped with all the facilities, at present the footfall is very low. Devotees are according top priority to have darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy, ignoring the prominence and changes in the history of Tirumala,” the TTD Chairman said.

TTD Executive Officer (EO) AV Dharman Reddy was also present.
