TTD EO directs Vigilance wing to prevent misuse in APSRTC, Tourism quota tickets

TIRUMALA: TTD EO J Syamala Rao reviewed the Revenue-Panchayat Raj, Reception, and IT wings of TTD on Tuesday and directed the Vigilance wing to ensure that there was no misuse in the APSRTC and Tourism quota of tickets.

In the review meeting held at the Gokulam Rest House in Tirumala, he issued important instructions to the respective departments.

The EO instructed the IT wing to resume scanning of Divyadarshan tokens at the 1200th step along the Srivari Mettu footpath route. He also directed the Vigilance wing to prevent misuse of the APSRTC and Tourism quota of tickets.

He asked the reception wing officials to compile a list of frequent accommodation users and warned that stern action would be taken against those who repeatedly misuse the facilities.

Later, he instructed the concerned authorities to install electronic display boards at Narayanagiri Sheds similar to Vaikuntham compartments to provide relevant information about approximate Darshan hours for the public.

He reviewed the Revenue-Panchayat Raj department and received briefings about tenements, hawkers, shopkeepers, hotels, commercial shops, land allotments, and permissions for Donor Cottages from concerned officials.

In a major decision to alleviate pilgrim woes during peak periods, the EO instructed the immediate deployment of an exclusive Assistant Executive Officer (AEO) to manage queues effectively when pilgrim numbers exceed five kilometers. He said the presence of a team comprising officials from Health, Annaprasadam, and Srivari Seva to provide feedback and ensure hassle-free movement and Darshan for tokenless pilgrims.

Later in the evening, the EO inspected Janata canteens and hotels, verifying the cost of items served to pilgrims against rates displayed on boards outside eateries. He quickly checked the lines at Shilatoranam point and inspected Narayanagiri Rest House No.3 and Seshadri Nagar Cottages.

During the inspection, EO JEO Veerabrahmam, CVSO Narasimha Kishore, CE Nageswara Rao, SE2 Jagadeeshwar Reddy, EEs Srinivas, Jaganmohan Reddy, Srihari, DE Electrical Ravishankar Reddy, CPRO Dr. T Ravi, and others were present.

In the review meetings, JEOs Goutami and Sri Veerabrahmam, along with CVSO Narasimha Kishore, and heads of respective departments were also present.
