Vacation bench judge recuses from hearing Naidu’s bail petition, Chief Justice to hear it on November 30

The Judge made it clear that the Registrar of the High Court would decide which bench would hear the bail petitions of the jailed accused in the skill development scam case

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh High Court vacation bench judge Justice Pratapa Venkata Jyotirmai on Friday recused from hearing the interim bail petition of former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

The Judge made it clear that the Registrar of the High Court would decide which bench would hear the bail petitions of the jailed accused in the skill development scam case. However, the bail petition would be heard by the CHief Justice on November 30.

The counsels for Naidu on Thursday filed a house motion petition urging the court to urgently hear the bail petition as the former CM was to undergo a cataract operation to his right eye.

Earlier on September 27, Justice SVN Bhatti who hails from Andhra Pradesh recused himself from hearing a quash petition filed by Naidu in Supreme Court.
