TIRUMALA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held special prayers at the Lord Venkateswara Temple during a two-day visit to Tirumala on Tuesday. Jagan had reached the town the previous day for customary presentation of silk vastrams on behalf of the State Government in connection with the annual Brahmotsavams.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Chairman Bhumana Karunakara Reddy welcomed him at the Mahadwaram temple, followed by a traditional Istikaphal welcome amidst hymns and melam chanting by the priests. The priests blessed the Chief Minister at Ranganayakula Mandapam after the darshan of the presiding deity.
Bhumana Karunakara Reddy offered theertha prasadam and presented a portrait of Lord Sri Venkateswara to the Chief Minister, who then left Tirumala for Renigunta airport.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by various officials, including State Deputy Chief Minister K. Narayana Swamy, State Minister of Electricity, Forestry, Environment, and Underground Mines Dr Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, and State Minister of Sports, Culture, and Tourism Minister RK Roja and many TTD board members.
