VISAKHAPATNAM: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that he will take oath as the Chief Minister in his second tenure and stay in Visakhapatnam post the elections.

YS Jagan made these comments on Tuesday while addressing around 2,000 delegates from various industries including tourism, hotels, hospitals and infrastructure sectors at the Radisson Blu Hotel as part of ‘Vision Visakha’.

Speaking about the executive capital issue, Jagan said, “Unfortunately, today I am the only person fighting for Vizag as the executive capital. I am fighting against the opposition and vested interests who do not want Visakhapatnam to become the executive capital. Going forward, Vizag will have to develop. Court cases are going on against the move. I will assure you that post elections, I will stay in Vizag. My swearing-in ceremony will also be here in Vizag.”

The YSRCP Government had declared Visakhapatnam as the executive capital as part of its three-capital plan for the State. The plan involves dividing the Andhra Pradesh capital into three parts with Amaravati as the legislative capital, Visakhapatnam as the executive capital and Kurnool as the judicial capital.
