KADAPA: A massive theft was reported in a train traveling from Tirupati to Guntur at Irugapadu Railway station in YSR Kadapa district on Friday midnight where women were robbed of gold ornaments.

According to the details, as many as 20 to 25 thieves broke into the train at Irugapadu Railway station in Kadapa and fled with gold jewellery from women.

It is learned that the thieves entered into S1 to S6 coaches of the train and created a panic among the passengers before stealing gold jewellery from the women.

The passengers expressed concern over the theft and complained about the lack of security. However, the police after receiving the information started a search operation for the thieves. The full details of the incident are yet to be known.
