YS Jagan birthday: YSRCP boasts of record 1.3 lakh registrations for blood donation

TADEPALLI: The YSRCP on Wednesday boasted of a record 1.3 lakh registrations for blood donation from its activists and sympathisers in response to a call coinciding with the 50th birthday of its President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

The party, while claiming a world record of sorts in this regard, said that the overwhelming response to the blood donation call took the numbers way past the previous record held in South Africa with 72,000 registrations. Andhra Pradesh has achieved this unique feat even as registrations for blood donation were received from across the world besides the two Telugu states.

At a programme organised in Tadepalli, YSRCP party general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy congratulated Challa Madhusudhan Reddy and his team for the success of the programme. The registrations were expected to increase further in the day.
