AMARAVATHI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday congratulated the young woman and a famous mountaineer Asha Malaviya, who was touring the country on a bicycle to emphasise the safety and empowerment of women and announced Rs. 10 lakh cash endowment, wishing her success in her endeavour.

Asha Malaviya, who hailed from Nataram village of Rajgarh district in Madhya Pradesh, met the Chief Minister at his camp office in Tadepalli. She told the Chief Minister that she had set a target of covering 25,000 kilometres, to all the States and Union Territories of the country, on a bicycle to take the issues of women's safety and women empowerment to the people.

Asha Malaviya had so far completed 8,000 km in eight states including Andhra Pradesh.
