HYDERABAD: There is no corruption under Modi's governance, but the YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh is famous for scams and corruption, said Union Minister Amit Shah on Sunday in Visakhapatnam.

Amit Shah slammed the YS Jagan government during a public assembly at the Railway Football Grounds in Visakhapatnam, accusing it of looting the government. The YS Jagan government in Andhra Pradesh has done nothing but stir up controversy and corruption during the previous four years, he added.

The Union Home Minister accused the Andhra Pradesh government of farmer suicides, saying, "Despite YS Jagan's boasts that his government is pro-farmers, AP ranks third in the country in farmer suicides, and he should be ashamed for it."

Amit Shah claimed that YS Jagan is implementing Rythu Bharosa with Modi government funds of Rs 6,000 per farmer.

"Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the Modi government has been providing 5 kg of free rice to 70 crore poor people, and YS Jagan is promoting himself by sticking his pictures on center-provided rice bags to project it as his scheme," Amit Shah added.

He went on to criticise YS Jagan, saying, "Under YS Jagan's rule, Vizag (Visakhapatnam) has become a 'adda' for anti-social activities such as land scams, mining scams, and even pharma scams."

"The Centre, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has established IIT in Tirupati, IIM in Visakhapatnam, AIIMS in Mangalagiri, IIIT Sri City Tirupati, and so on in Andhra Pradesh," Amit Shah said when discussing the central government's significant initiatives in the state. The Centre has approved Bhogapuram Airport and Kurnool Airport", he added.

"The Modi administration has sanctioned two Vande Bharata for Andhra Pradesh, according to the home minister. One from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam and back, and one from Visakhapatnam to Tirupati, " the home minister added.

While criticising the Andhra Pradesh government led by YS Jaganmohan Reddy, he said that during its four years in power, the YSRCP administration was only involved in scams and corruption. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undoubtedly return to power, but I appeal to the people of Andhra Pradesh to support NDA candidates in the upcoming elections by contributing at least 25 votes among 25 seats in the state," he said.

"Corruption of Rs 12 lakh was reported during the UPA's 10-year rule, but there is no such corruption during Modi's rule," Amit Shah claimed.

Amit Shah went on, "The entire world is chanting Modi Modi. The Indian Army's strength has grown since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister. By entering Pakistan, we addressed a number of adversaries. Prime Minister Modi has transformed India's standing in the eyes of the world."
