YS Jagan leaves for New Delhi to meet PM, special status, Polavaram on official agenda

YS Jagan’s visit to the national capital a day after TDP president Nara Chandra Babu met the BJP top leadership in a bid to rejoin the NDA fold, acquired importance in the political circles.

AMARAVATI: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has left for New Delhi from Gannavaram airport on Thursday. He will stay in his official residence at 1-Janpath in New Delhi. He will be meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday to discuss several issues about the State and also present the political scenario in the State.

Meanwhile, sources in the Government said that the agenda subjects that would come up during the meeting with the PM would be special status, the Vizag steel plant, speedy funding for the completion of the Polavaram project, pending issues with the Union Jalashakti Ministry, pending payment of power supplied to Telangana from June 2014 to June 2017, pending funds from devolution, increased allocation under national food security for additional free ration to 56 lakh additional families in the State, funding for new medical colleges and all pending issues under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2014.
