AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met with senior officials here on Sunday to examine the situation caused by the state's unexpected rainfall over the last two days.
Seeking facts on crop loss caused by unseasonal rainfall, the Chief Minister asked them to begin agricultural loss enumeration immediately. He urged all District Collectors to complete the enumeration within a week and to take efforts to assist farmers who have experienced crop loss owing to the rains.
District Collectors, he said, should examine the situation on a regular basis and take appropriate actions to avert any unfortunate incidents in rain-affected districts.
