YS Viveka murder: Avinash Reddy, co-accused attend CBI Court, hearing posted to September 1

HYDERABAD: Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy and other co-accused in the murder case of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy case appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Court in Nampally on Monday. The court posted matters for further hearing in the case on September 1, 2023.
The CBI Court summoned Avinash along with YS Bhaskar Reddy, Sivasankara Reddy, Sunil Yadav, Gangi Reddy and Umasankar Reddy for the hearing on Monday. All the co-accused who were incarcerated at the Chanchalguda jail reached the court under tight police security. Dastagiri (A4) who turned an approver was exempted from hearing.
With the CBI submitting its third chargesheet to the Court in July, focusing mainly on the alleged role played by the Kadapa MP and his father YS Bhaskar Reddy, the investigating agency might try to elicit more information from them during the trial.
Meanwhile, the CBI Court directed the investigative agency to file a counter against the bail petition of Sivasankar Reddy, one of the co-accused in the murder case.
