YS Viveka murder: CBI allows YS Avinash Reddy’s plea, to question MP on March 10
Heeding the request of YS Avinash Reddy for a postponement, the CBI has served a fresh notice to the YSRCP’s Kadapa MP for questioning in connection with the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case
HYDERABAD: Heeding the request of YS Avinash Reddy for a postponement, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has served a fresh notice to the YSRCP’s Kadapa MP for questioning in connection with the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case. In the latest summons, the Central agency has asked the Pulivendula leader to appear before it in Hyderabad on March 10. The CBI has also rescheduled the date of questioning to March 12, 2023 for YS Bhaskar Reddy, the father of Avinash Reddy, in the same case.
As per the earlier summons, YS Avinash Reddy was supposed to turn up at the CBI office in Hyderabad on March 6, 2023 (Monday) for further questioning. However, the MP expressed his inability to appear before the agency, citing pre-scheduled official engagements on Monday and requested for a postponement.
Though initially insisted that he be present on Monday itself without fail, the CBI eventually yielded to the Kadapa MP’s request and revised the date to March 10. While YS Avinash Reddy will be attending the questioning in Hyderabad, the CBI however asked his father YS Bhaskar Reddy to appear before it in Kadapa on March 12 for questioning.
The Central agency has already grilled YS Avinash Reddy a couple of times earlier.
