YS Viveka murder: CBI summons YS Avinash Reddy again, to grill MP on January 28
CBI has served fresh summons to Kadapa MP of YSRCP YS Avinash Reddy in connection with the murder case of his paternal uncle and former MP YS Vivekananda Reddy
KADAPA: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has served fresh summons to Kadapa MP of YSRCP YS Avinash Reddy in connection with the murder case of his paternal uncle and former MP YS Vivekananda Reddy. The MP was asked by the CBI to appear before it for questioning on January 28 in Hyderabad.
The Central agency on Monday served the first notice on the MP, asking him to turn up at its Hyderabad office on Tuesday. But Avinash Reddy expressed his inability due to his fixed appointments for the next few days and sought five days’ time to appear before the CBI.
Accordingly, the CBI served the second notice on Wednesday on the MP for his presence at its Hyderabad office on January 28. The CBI, which is probing the murder case of former minister and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s paternal uncle YS Vivekananda Reddy, on Monday inspected the residential premises of YS Bhaskar Reddy, father of YS Avinash Reddy, in Pulivendula.
A section of the media has been constantly pointing accusing fingers at the young MP alleging him of his involvement in the gruesome murder of Vivekananda Reddy. Adding to this, was the concerns raised by Dr Sunitha, daughter of YS Vivekananda Reddy, who also sought the transfer of the case from Andhra Pradesh to the CBI special court in Hyderabad.
Reacting to the CBI summons and the campaign against him, Avinash Reddy on Tuesday expressed anguish and pain over the manner in which a section of the media was insinuating against him without caring for the facts. He exuded the confidence that truth would prevail and promised to extend his full cooperation during the CBI’s questioning.
