AMARAVATI: Nellore rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has once again caused ripple within the ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh with his latest sensational comments. The MLA, who does not seem to enjoy the confidence of the party leadership of late, claimed that the intelligence officials were spying on him by tapping his phone for the last three months. He said that he already knew about this and therefore was using a different phone to discuss secrets.

“They have been tapping my phone for three months now. I already knew about this and therefore using a different phone and 12 SIMs to talk about my secrets,” he said.

The MLA questioned what was the necessity for the intelligence department to monitor an MLA of the ruling party. Insinuating as if the State Government was using the Israeli spy software Pegasus, he said, “Your Pegasus can’t breach face-timer and Telegram calls.”

He also claimed that, at the height of the cricketing better case against him, the then Superintendent of police also kept him under surveillance. “Is surveillance with three officers required on a ruling party MLA? Instead appoint an IPS officer in my constituency to monitor me,” he remarked sarcastically.
