AMARAVATI: The YSR Congress Party on Thursday announced the names of three candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. YV Subba Reddy, Golla Babu Rao, and Meda Raghunadha Reddy were chosen as the party's Rajya Sabha nominees.

Names of the three leaders were declared to fill three seats of Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar, and CM Ramesh that will fall vacant. The election for Rajya Sabha will be held on February 27, 2024. The otification  for 56 Rajya Sabha seats in 15 States was declared on Thursday. Out of the six Rajya Sabha seats for which nominations were sought three were in AP.

Meanwhile, YSRCP's Rajya Sabha candidates met the party president and CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy here on Thursday and expressed their gratitude.
