KADAPA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy offered prayers at the ‘YSR Ghat’ in Idupulapaya in Kadapa district on Saturday, commemorating the 14th death anniversary of his father and former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR).

YS Jagan arrived at Kadapa Airport by a special aircraft from Vijayawada International Airport in Gannavaram around 10:30 am and reached Idupulapaya by helicopter. Accompanied by his mother YS Vijayamma, wife YS Bharati and other relatives, the Chief Minister arrived at ‘YSR Ghat’, offered floral tributes and sat for prayers at the memorial that lasted a few minutes.

 Taking to Twitter, YS Jagan posted an emotional message on the occasion. “Despite your physical absence, you will be a leader who will live in the hearts of people forever. The people's love for you is standing like a mountain for me. It is your aspirations that are holding my hand to achieve the goals of welfare and comprehensive development. I bow to you on your death anniversary,” the Chief Minister said.

Deputy chief minister Amzad Basha, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Audimulapu Suresh, Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy, MLA’s G Srikanth Reddy and Ravindranath Reddy and other senior leaders of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) were also present.
