AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday granted anticipatory bail to former minister P Narayana in the Amaravati inner ring road land scam case registered by the AP CID. Three others charged in the case – K.V.P. Anjani Kumar of Ramakrishna Housing Private Limited, LEPL Projects promoter Lingamaneni Ramesh and L V Surya Rajasekhar – also got relief in the form of anticipatory bail.

The Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) has registered a case in the past against the four based on a complaint lodged by Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy. Ramakrishna Reddy, in his complaint, alleged irregularities in Amaravati master plan and the alignment of inner ring road.

The accused subsequently approached the high court seeking anticipatory bail in the case. The high court, after hearing their petitions, had kept its verdict in reserve. On Tuesday, it granted the relief to the petitioners by granting them anticipatory bail.
