AMARAVATI: Former chief minister and TDP supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu and party's general secretary Nara Lokesh strongly on Tuesday condemned the attack on TDP leader Venna Balakoti Reddy in Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh. Reddy is the TDP's Romipichera mandal president.
Taking to Twitter, Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the latest incident was a proof of the breakdown of law and order in the state. He accused the YSRCP leaders of carrying out attacks on TDP leaders at the behest of Chief Minister YS Jagan. Naidu questioned the police as to what they were doing when such ghastly atrocities were happening in the state. He wondered whether the chief minister had given them the orders to shield the accused.
"Who will take responsibility if there is retaliation from the Telugu Desam Party side. If anything happens to Balakoti Reddy, the chief minister should own the responsibility," Naidu added.
TDP Andhra Pradesh president Atchennaidu also condemned the attack and warned of severe consequences once the TDP comes to power in the next elections. Atchennaidu demanded that the police take immediate action against those who attacked Venna Balakoti Reddy.
