AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has directed the state electricity department authorities to write letters to the farmers on agricultural meters to dispel any misgivings in this regard.

He asked them to assure the farmers that there would be no burden on the farmers. The chief minister wants the officials to explain to the farmers that the entire bill would be paid by the state government itself. Officials should educate the farmers about the pilot project taken up in Srikakulam and the positive results it yielded besides the idea of saving 33.75 million units of electricity.
