AMARAVATI: TDP Politburo member and former MLA Ayyanna Patrudu slammed the Andhra Pradesh Government stating that it was inefficient in assisting the flood-hit areas. He said that the failure of the Government in handling floods was the reason for the Polavaram merged villages demanding to be merged in Telangana.
He called them inefficient for disbursing only Rs 2,000 to the flood-hit people and said it was much less compared to what the Telangana government was providing – Rs 10,000.
He said that TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu had stayed with the flood-hit people and worked day and night when the Hudhud Cyclone hit.
Ayyanna Patrudu said that school and college dropouts from Andhra Pradesh would increase and said the education system in the state had deteriorated. The TDP leader also slammed the government for ignoring the Supreme Court verdict in the Rushikonda mining case.
He also thanked all those who stood with him when his house was being destroyed.
He said that the TDP had decided to provide support, assistance and cooperation to the people of 35 constituencies. He said Chandrababu had to come to power if the state had to be developed.
