The police said that Subba Rao was predicting a loss of Rs. 50 crores which led him to conspire the protests.

Subba Rao was allegedly charging a fee of Rs 2 lakhs. He lured the aspirants by providing an installment option for paying the fees. He also gave them an option of paying a 'registration fee' and paying the remaining amount after being recruited. For this, he allegedly kept class 10 memos and other certificates of the students as safety.

Officials searched the Sai Defense Academy's main branch at Bypass Road in Palanadu district for three days and seized 10 class memos of several candidates along with hard discs. IT officials questioned Subbarao for three days before arresting him.
