Jagan lays stone for 'Apache' industry in AP

He said that the Apache industry would manufacture multiple products such as adidas shoes, leather jackets, belts, etc.

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy laid the foundation stone for a Rs.700-crore manufacturing unit of Hilltop SEZ Footwear India Ltd (Apache) in Ingaluru on Thursday.

Addressing the public at the event, he said that setting up an Apache industry in Inagaluru was a matter of pride to the state. Jagan mentioned that the company would invest Rs 350 crore in the first phase in 2022 and another Rs.350 crore in the second phase in 2023.

He said that the Apache industry would manufacture multiple products such as adidas shoes, leather jackets, belts, etc. and that the hub would create 10,000 jobs. He said that the industry would be ready for production by September 2023 and that 80% of jobs would be offered to locals.

The CEO of Apache, Tony To, thanked Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy for his assistance in setting up the industry and said that the support provided by the AP government was commendable.

Ministers Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Gudivada Amarnath, Narayana Swamy, Industries Director G Srijana and other officials were present at the event.
