Jagan conducts aerial survey of flood-hit villages

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Friday conducted an aerial survey of the flood-ravaged areas along river Godavari. Many villages of East Godavari, Ambedkar Konaseema and West Godavari districts remain submerged following severe floods to the river over the last several days.
Besides taking stock of the situation in these villages, the chief minister also monitored the scenario prevailing at the Polavaram project and Dhawaleswaram Barrage after taking to a helicopter. Following the aerial survey, he instructed officials to expedite the ongoing rescue and relief efforts. He also directed them to ensure complete evacuation of people from the submerged villages.
