Six students washed away at Ibrahimpatnam Ferry ghat, five rescued

VIJAYAWADA: Six students, who went for a bath in the Krishna, near Ferry Ghat of Ibrahimpatnam in the NTR district were washed away.

According to details furnished by the locals, the school students from Kondapally B Colony came for a bath at Ibrahimpatnam ferry ghat in the NTR district and were washed away due to the high flow of water.

Upon learning the issue, NDRF staff and locals immediately reached the spot and rescued the five missing students, and started search operations on the whereabouts of another student.

All of them were identified as students studying in a local Zilla Parishad school. Meanwhile, parents of the missing student are concerned as the search operations became difficult due to heavy flood flow.
