TIRUMALA: In a measure to deal with a heavy rush of devotees, the Tirumula Tirupati Devastanams (TTD) has decided to cancel the Special Entry Darshan (SED) tickets and allow only 'sarva darshan' during the Brahmotsavams this year.

The hill shrine witnesses a heavy inflow of devotees who flock to it from all parts of the country during the annual Brahmotsavams, slated to be held in October this year. The online quota of Rs 300 SED tickets for the month of October was supposed to be released by the TTD at 9 am on Thursday (August 18).

However, the TTD announced its decision to do away with the SED tickets for the duration of Brahmotsavams this year to avoid inconvenience to the devotees. In a note released to the media, the PRO of the TTD has informed that only 'sarva darshan' will be allowed during the Brahmotsavams. The PRO requested the devotees to be informed of this change in regulation and book their darshan accordingly.

Devotees are suggested to make necessary arrangements to participate in the Brahmotsavam enthusiastically.
