Use tech for corruption-free rule, says Chandrababu
He said that the country should devise policies for the coming 25 years for India to stand atop the whole world
GUNTUR: Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu, on Monday, called for inculcating national spirit among all.
He said that India was ahead of other countries even centuries ago. "We should view the growth of the nation pre and post-independence and similarly before and after the introduction of economic reforms. With the reforms introduced by PV Narasimha Rao, India is now competing with the whole world," he said. He said that India had transformed into one of the biggest nation that supplied vaccines to the world
Chandrababu Naidu said that for the progress of the country everyone must unite. "That is the real tribute we pay to those who sacrificed their lives for the nation," Naidu said.
"The TDP was always a part of the reforms that were being introduced, though launched as a regional outfit, always worked for the interest of the whole nation," he said. He also said that NT Rama Rao launched the Telugu Desam Party only for the upliftment of the downtrodden sections of society. Recalling that the TDP had formulated the Vision-2020 and strived to reach its goals for the State, Chandrababu Naidu said the party aimed at working for the welfare of the common man. The TDP had played a crucial role in the telecom reforms, open sky policy and establishing green-field airports in the country.
"Seperate policies should be formulated for farming sector as suicides by farmers, even after 25 years of Independence, is not good for the nation. Enough opportunities should be created for the youth, who are the backbone of the country. Schemes should be formulated for women empowerment," he said and said that education and health should be available for all.
A corrupt-free society was the need of the hour and technology to be used to achieve this, he said. He said that the country should devise policies for the coming 25 years for India to stand atop the whole world and utilise the resources well. "Everyone should come forward to work with the ruling dispensations to achieve this," Chandrababu Naidu said.
