HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has finally approved a hike in ticket prices for the highly anticipated film, Adipurush, with certain conditions. The government issued a Government Order (GO) allowing a Rs 50 increase in ticket prices, but this increase will be applicable only for single-screen theaters.

The maximum ticket price for multiplexes will be set at Rs 295, with additional charges for 3D screenings. Therefore, the maximum ticket price for single-screen theaters will be Rs 225, including 3D glasses charges.

Furthermore, the government has granted permission for a sixth show on the first day of Adipurush's release, starting as early as 4 am. This ticket price hike will remain in effect until Sunday, after which the ticket prices will revert to their previous rates from Monday onwards.

A similar Rs 50 price hike is also expected in Andhra Pradesh, but there will be slight variations in the maximum ticket prices. In AP, the basic price for multiplexes is Rs 177, while the final ticket price for single-screen theaters will not exceed Rs 160.

The success and word-of-mouth feedback from the morning shows will play a crucial role in determining the prospects of Adipurush. If the response is positive, the film is expected to soar at the box office.

The film is releasing on Friday at the pan-India level in multiple languages.
