After a lot of waiting, Akhil's Agent OTT release date is out!
After nearly five months, Sony Liv, which holds the digital rights, has officially announced that "Agent" will start streaming on September 29
HYDERABAD: Akhil Akkineni's "Agent" faced disappointment at the box office. It incurred substantial losses for the producer. Initially, the movie was set to release on OTT platforms shortly after its theatrical release in late April. However, this release plan was delayed and eventually put aside, leading to a lack of updates on the film's availability for viewers.
Now, after nearly five months, Sony Liv, which holds the digital rights, has officially announced that "Agent" will start streaming on September 29. This extended delay in the OTT release is quite unusual.
"Agent" tells the story of Ramakrishna, also known as Ricky, who aspires to become a RAW agent. Despite multiple attempts to pass the test, he faces rejection. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when he becomes involved in a mission led by Mahadev, played by Mammootty, the chief of RAW.
Surender Reddy is the film's director, and Anil Sunkara bankrolled the film. Sakshi Vaidhya made her debut as a heroine in the movie.
