After Dhanush, Venky Atluri teams up with Dulquer Salmaan

HYDERABAD: Director Venky Atluri seems to be showing interest in making films with other language heroes than the Telugu actors. After scoring a super hit with Dhanush with the film Sir, Venky has now teamed up with Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan. An official announcement about this project has been made today.

Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, which bankrolled Sir, will also be producing this untitled project. The shoot will commence in October this year and the makers are aiming to release the film in summer next year.

Announcing the project, Sithara Entertainments tweeted, "The uber cool #DQ is BACK! Sithara Entertainments' in Association with @fortune4cinemas #Production24 will be directed by our dearest #VenkyAtluri ft. @dulQuer. Shoot begins this October! Summer 2024 release. @vamsi84 #SaiSoujanya @SitharaEnts #SrikaraStudios."

This will be Dulquer's immediate Telugu project after the successful Sita Ramam. More details about the rest of the cast and crew will be announced soon. Meanwhile, he will be next seen in the Malayalam film King of Kotha, directed by Abhilash Joshiy. Aishwarya Lekshmi plays the female lead in it. It is set for a grand release in August this year.
