Alia and Ranbir stopped from entering the Ujjain temple

As there are only two days left for the release, the makers of Brahmastra have intensified the promotions. The cast and crew are touring multiple cities and promoting the film. Meanwhile, the Boycott gang has been trending #BoycottBrahmastra widely on social media for various reasons.

On Tuesday, the film's lead actors Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and the film's director Ayan Mukherjee were in Ujjain to visit the Mahakaleshwar Temple. Ahead of their visit, Bajrangdal members started protesting in front of the temple. Police had to do lathi charge to control them. This video is now going viral on social media.

Bajrangdal people stated that Ranbir insulted Gaumata by promoting beef and thus, he cannot enter the temple. Eventually, Ranbir and Alia stayed back for security reasons and Ayan visited the temple alone and performed Aarti to the deity.

Way back in 2011, Ranbir said that he is a fan of beef and that video is now trending on social media. Netizens are using this video as one of the factors to boycott Brahmastra. We have to see how many hurdles this film faces in the coming days.
