Amidst huge criticism against Rana Naidu, Netflix to remove Telugu Audio?
In a shocking move, Netflix India is reportedly planning to remove the Telugu audio of the recent web series Rana Naidu.
HYDERABAD: In a shocking move, Netflix India is reportedly planning to remove the Telugu audio of the recent web series Rana Naidu. Though there is no official word about the reason behind Telugu audio's removal, we hear that the Netflix management took this decision as there is severe backlash for the cuss words used in the series.
Rana Naidu features Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh Daggubati in the lead roles. Venkatesh is known for his family man image among Telugu audiences. However, Rana Naidu is filled with cuss words, obscene visuals and hardcore intimate scenes.
These things are not expected from Venky. So, audiences couldn't digest him doing such a role and mouthing such words. Though these factors are normal for Hindi audiences, Telugu people didn't get used to the trend yet. Maybe, that is the reason why Netflix decided to remove Telugu audio from the series.
Irrespective of the criticism, Rana Naidu is getting a phenomenal response on Netflix. It has been trending on Top-10 since the day of its release. The series is directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma. Surveen Chawla, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee and Priya Banerjee played other key roles in it.
