HYDERABAD: One definitely doesn't need to have any doubts about a film when the maverick filmmaker Trivikram himself produces it. That too a remake! Today on the eve of his birthday, the teaser of 'Buttabomma' was released in the morning.
Starring Anikha Surendran, Arjun Das, and Surya Vasishta, the film 'Buttabomma' is an official remake of the Malayalam blockbuster 'Kappela'. The film was formally announced on Vinayaka Chaturthi and the posters were released, introducing the leads & crew. Anikha Surendra shall be essaying the lead role, an innocent teenage, traditional girl, while Surya Vasishta shall be seen in the role of an autorickshaw driver, who is interested in Anikha. Arjun Das is also playing a crucial role and shall be seen as a hothead. The teaser that was released today has pretty visuals of the village atmosphere and also has managed to maintain aesthetic authenticity with the dressing and accent, while Gopi Sundar's background adds the magic!
Sithara Entertainments shall be producing this film along with Fortune Four, a maiden banner of Trivirkam, handled by his wife Sai Sounjanya. Directed by Shourie Chandrasekhar Ramesh, the film is slated to release in December.
