Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Brahmastra was the biggest release in Bollywood this year. The entire Hindi film industry pinned a lot of hopes on this fantasy drama. Finally, it was released on September 9.

The initial talk of Brahmastra was not encouraging. People who watched the film came out with mixed responses. On top of that, there were boycott calls on social media against the movie. Everyone thought that it will eventually bite the dust.

But Brahmastra has beaten all the odds and collected Rs. 160 crores in the first two days. It is expected to earn around Rs. 250 crores in its first weekend.

This proves that the movie is getting a sensational response from the audience irrespective of reviews and boycott calls.

The next big pan-Indian release is going to be Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. The first part, PS-I, will hit the screens on September 30. As of now, there is hype around the film only in Tamil Nadu and not in other sectors of India. Even the trailer has got a mixed response from the viewers.

So, we have to see if PS-I breaks all the odds like Brahmastra and earns big even with mixed responses from the audiences. Let's wait and watch.
