Delays & Setbacks - Not a new story for Mahesh Babu & Trivikram
The shooting of Trivikram Srinivas and Mahesh Babu's highly anticipated third collaboration, "Guntur Karam," is facing unexpected delays
HYDERABAD: The shooting of Trivikram Srinivas and Mahesh Babu's highly anticipated third collaboration, "Guntur Karam," is facing unexpected delays. Despite their partnership's tremendous hype, similar challenges have also been encountered in their previous projects.
The first film they worked on, "Athadu," took two years to complete, while "Khaleja" took three years. Both the films were not planned but happened all of a sudden. Athadu and Khaleja carried a lot of hype and buzz, but they could not do as expected in theatres and later achieved cult status.
The hopes for faster completion of "Guntur Karam" have been dashed, as it is experiencing even more severe delays. Since announcing their collaboration, Trivikram has made numerous changes to the storyline. After completing one schedule, the story was scrapped, and an entirely new one was finalized.
Moreover, due to unforeseen circumstances, Mahesh Babu had to take a break from the shooting. The original heroine, Pooja Hegde, exited the project, and Sreleela has been brought on board as the new female lead.
In addition to these changes, replacements were reportedly found for cinematographer and music director positions. Meenakshi Chaudhary has come on board as the secondary female lead, and the speculations are rising that this third collaboration between Mahesh and Trivikram is not progressing smoothly.
Despite the delays and challenges faced during the production, fans remain eager for the release of "Guntur Karam" as they anticipate the magic that Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas have consistently created in their previous collaborations.
However, it seems that the movie's progress is encountering obstacles for now, leading to an uncertain timeline for its completion and release. The question is, "Can the film be released for Sankranthi 2024 as per the plan?", while the answer awaits.
