Grapevine: Pawan Kalyan, Anna Lezhneva separated, staring at divorce

HYDERABAD: Even as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy keeps taunting Power Star and Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan about his multiple marriages and divorces, fresh speculation is rife on the actor’s separation from his third wife.

Reports circulating in the regional and national media in the last few days claim that Pawan Kalyan and his Russian wife Anna Lezhneva had been living separately for a few months now and that their marriage has all but ended with Anna Lezhneva returning to Russia with their children. It is speculated that a divorce was only a mere formality now. Expectedly, there has been no official confirmation to this effect either from sources close to Pawan Kalyan, his family members or Anna Lezhneva.

However, a few party sources rubbished the reports and described the news as ‘planted’ by vested interests. They claim that these rumours were sparked taking advantage of Pawan Kalyan not attending a few recent events with his wife in tow.

As if to prove the rumours wrong, die-hard fans of Pawan Kalyan have started to share a tweet of the Jana Sena Party dated July 5, 2023 which showed Pawan Kalyan with his wife Anna together. The tweet claimed that the ‘power couple’ participated in religious rituals at their residence in Hyderabad, marking the end of the first phase of Varahi Yatra.

Rumours started circulating when Anna was noticeably absent from several important events within the Mega family. Her absence at Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi's engagement, Pawan Kalyan's political yagam, and the naming ceremony of Ram Charan and Upasana's daughter has fueled speculation about their divorce.

Pawan Kalyan and Anna Lezhneva tied the knot in 2013 and have two children together. If the divorce is confirmed, it would mark the end of Pawan Kalyan's third marriage. He had earlier married and divorced Nandini and actress Renu Desai. Though he had no children from his first marriage, Pawan Kalyan and Renu Desai were blessed with two children – son Akira and daughter Aadya. He also fathered two kids with Anna Lezhneva, namely son Mark Shankar Pawanovich and Polena Anjaba Pawanova.

While the news, though still in the realm of conjecture, has caused ripples among fans and the media, neither Pawan Kalyan nor the Mega family have made any attempts to either confirm or scotch them for clarity.

There were also some unconfirmed reports floating on social media platforms recently which claimed without any substantiation that Pawan’s third wife Anna Lezhneva had shifted her base to Singapore to take care of their joint business interests. There was no clarification even on this one too and it was presumed as a mere figment of social media imagination.

On the work front, Pawan Kalyan has several upcoming projects. His film ‘Bro’, directed by Samuthirakani and starring his nephew Sai Dharam Tej, is scheduled to release on July 28, 2023.
