HYDERABAD: Actor Sai Dharam Tej met with a deadly bike accident in 2021. He had to take rest for almost a year before he got back to work. Virupaksha is the first film he worked on, after meeting with the accident. Even after coming out from a bike accident, Sai Dharam Tej decided to pull off a bike stunt himself in this movie.
This morning, the makers of Virupaksha shared a special video titled, 'Courage Over Fear'. In this video, director Karthik Dandu and cinematographer Shamdutt Sainuddin explain how Sai Dharam Tej decided to pull off the bike stunt by himself to overcome his fear.
In a particular scene of the film, the lead has to ride the bike over a speed of 100 kmph. The makers wanted a dupe to do it because they thought it is not good to ask Sai Dharam Tej to do the stunt as he just recovered from the bike accident.
However, Sai decided to do it by saying that he wants to overcome fear. That's how he managed to do it in a single take. A glimpse of this scene is shown in the video.
Virupaksha features Samyuktha Menon as the female lead. Sukumar wrote the screenplay of it. The film will hit the screens later this year.
