"I did not target Koratala Siva," explains Megastar Chiranjeevi

HYDERABAD: 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi is widely promoting his film “Waltair Veerayya,” which hit the screens today. In Vizag’s pre-release event, Chiru, while talking about Bobby, the director of the film, said that Bobby respects the wisdom and experience of his actors and takes their inputs into account. This led to a question that if Chiru was targeting Koratala Shiva.

On being questioned about this, this, Megastar said that he never targeted any director. “For the general well-being of the film industry, I’ve stated that directors should work everything on paper before going to sets. Rather than shooting 4-hours of cinema and trimming out an hour later, it’s better to work out a screenplay that will be under 3-hours such that lots of production costs will be saved. This is a general statement and not any intended remark at Koratala Siva. Once and for all, I’m giving clarity that I’ve not targeted Koratala or made any remarks against him”, finally ending the controversy.

Shiva and Chiru worked together for “Acharya”. Acharya didn’t do well at the box office and was also critically slammed. Later, in one talk show with Anupama Chopra, Chiru talked about the direction of the film which led to the speculations that Chiru was pointing out Koratala’s style of working.
