Impressive advance bookings for PS-I in Tamil Nadu

Mani Ratnam's dream project Ponniyin Selvan is gearing up for its release. The first part of the series, PS-I will hit the screens this Friday. The advance bookings have already started all over the world.

The advance bookings in Tamil Nadu started on Sunday (September 25). According to the reports, it already became the third-best advance booking for a Kollywood movie in Tamil Nadu after Beast and Valimai.

The bookings were opened across 225 screens in the state. Reportedly, more than 2.5 lakh tickets have been already sold. Around Rs. 4.5 crores have been earned through these advance bookings.

The figures are expected to increase further in the coming days as the bookings are yet to open in many other cinema halls.

As of now, it is being predicted that Ponniyin Selvan may cross the day-1 figures of Vikram but may not surpass Beast and Valimai.

Ponniyin Selvan features Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead roles. AR Rahman composed the music for it.
