Is this the reason why Rajamouli signed a contract with CAA?

Maverick director SS Rajamouli is currently in the USA promoting his film RRR. He has been attending various screenings of the movie and is participating in the Q&A sessions. A couple of days ago, he also signed a contract with Creative Artists Agency.

For the unversed, Creative Artists Agency (CAA) is a talent and sports agency based in Los Angeles, California. It manages talent in sports and film arenas. We hear that Rajamouli had a reason behind signing a contract with CAA.

Recently, RRR was snubbed by the Film Federation of Indian (FFI) as the latter picked Gujarati Film Chhello Show as India's official entry for the Oscars. This means that RRR cannot compete in the Best International Picture category. However, RRR's US distributor Variance Film stated that it will submit the film individually in multiple categories of the Academy Awards.

Now, Rajamouli's deal with CAA will also make him take the latter's help in promoting the film in Hollywood circles. The more exposure it gets in the Academy circle, the more chance it will have of winning the Oscars. Let's see if this plan of Rajamouli works out well or not.
