National Award winner Kangana Ranaut has chosen yet another intriguing subject for her next film. This time, Kangana is donning multiple hats for the project. She is the actor, director, writer and producer for her upcoming film Emergency. The project was announced today and the first look teaser was also unveiled with the announcement.
The teaser features Kangana in the getup of former Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. She looks apt in the role and it also felt that the actress worked on her voice modulation to sound like Mrs Gandhi. The teaser looks interesting and also raises anticipation around the movie. Maybe, Emergency focuses on the situations that led Indira Gandhi to declare an emergency in the country and the aftermath of it.
Emergency happens to be Kangana's second directorial project, after Manikarnika. It is being co-produced by Renu Pitti. Ritesh Shah penned the screenplay and dialogues for the film. GV Prakash is scoring the music for it.
Kangana was last seen in the movie Dhaakad, which turned out to be a disaster at the box office. She also has Tejas in her lineup.
